Stakeholder mapping and initial engagement plan

Stakeholder engagement is a key component of the PRECIOUS approach. This deliverable D6.1 includes astakeholder mapping of the use cases and the co-creation and replication nodes, as well as relevant Europeanstakeholders, EU projects, and EU platforms. Based on this, it further puts forward an initial engagement plan, detailing entry points for involvement of external actors for feedback, co-creation as well as dissemination andreplication of PRECIOUS activities and results. The stakeholder mapping is aimed at reviewing existing actors within the Use Cases (UCs) and Co-CreationNodes (CRN) locations, as well as on the European level in order to support: a) The development of effective Communities of Practice (CoP) within the UC locations,b) Effective stakeholder engagement formats in the CRNs,c) Engagement of European actors such as associations, platforms and projects. The stakeholder mapping is aimed at understanding stakeholder interrelations and dependencies within the CRNand CoP locations. Their analysis covers all food supply chain stages. By analysing stakeholder composition, positions in the food supply chain, their interests and influence, challenges and motivations, this exerciseinforms the PRECIOUS engagement plan to mitigate risks and to enable effective stakeholder engagement. TheCSCP designed the process to ensure consistency and comparability, while local partners conductedassessments using a semi-open template, iteratively refined through their feedback. Stakeholders were thenevaluated using both the quantitative and qualitative assessments provided by local project partners. In additionto location-specific mappings, an EU-level stakeholder mapping was conducted to identify key projects underthe Horizon funding scheme, platforms, and organizations for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Thesewere mapped according to thematic relevance. This comprehensive mapping lays the groundwork for a targetedengagement plan. The initial engagement plan details the entry points to engage stakeholder groups across the Use Cases andCo-Creation Nodes, as well as the European stakeholders, projects and platforms. For each of these stakeholdergroups, actions are defined across different engagement intensity levels to suggest concrete engagementopportunities and formats for each level. Discussion points are highlighted for partners’ further considerationto inform a further, joint refinement of this initial engagement plan to detail the engagement, process anddiscussion priorities within the course of the PRECIOUS project.
