Synthesis and Characterization of Silver Nanoparticles using Mango (Mangifera indica) Extract

This study focuses on the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using aqueous extract of Mango (Mangifera indica) leaves as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent. The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) to confirm the presence of bioactive compounds responsible for nanoparticle formation. The color change from pale yellow to brown indicated the successful reduction of silver ions to nanoparticles. The results demonstrate the eco-friendly, cost-effective, and rapid synthesis of silver nanoparticles through plant-based methods with potential applications in biomedical and catalytic fields.
