Current Recommendations for the Treatment of Bronchial Obstructive Diseases: GINA and GOLD Guidelines
Bronchial obstructive diseases, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), affect millions globally and can significantly impact quality of life, daily functioning, and emotional well-being. These diseases are characterized by airway obstruction, inflammation, and episodes of exacerbations that can range from mild to lifethreatening. This article presents a comprehensive overview of current recommendations for treating asthma and COPD, focusing on acute attack management, long-term pharmacologic therapy, non-pharmacologic interventions, preventive strategies, patient education, and comorbidity management. The content is humanized to reflect patient-centered care and practical clinical application.
