RSpace PID update
This presentation, given at DataCite Connect Brisbane 2025, provides an update on the integration of persistent identifiers (PIDs) in RSpace, the electronic lab notebook and sample management system developed by Research Space. It outlines existing PID integrations, such as ORCID and IGSN, and demonstrates how RSpace supports field research workflows, including pre-registration, labeling, and repository export of samples with IGSN IDs. The presentation also highlights ongoing developments to incorporate RAiD (for project identifiers) and PIDINST (for research instruments), strengthening interoperability across research infrastructure. By embedding PIDs throughout the research lifecycle, RSpace 2.0 aims to serve as a research infrastructure integrator, enabling more transparent, connected, and FAIR research workflows.
