DataCite in Czechia

This presentation, delivered at DataCite Connect Brisbane 2025, provides an overview of the development and current state of persistent identifiers (PIDs) in Czechia. It highlights the establishment of the Czech National PID Centre at the National Library of Technology (NTK), the formation and growth of the national DataCite consortium, and its integration into the EOSC CZ initiative. The presentation covers key use cases, including DOI and IGSN implementation in national research infrastructures, alongside ongoing efforts to build a coordinated national PID strategy. It also discusses future plans for supporting PID adoption across Czech repositories, the national CRIS, and grant systems, contributing to a sustainable and interoperable research data ecosystem in Czechia.
