Study of Magnetic, Electronic, and Magnetocaloric Properties of La0.67Ba0.22Sr0.11 Mn0.95Ti0.05O3 Perovskite

Abstract In this article, we study the magnetic, electronic, and magnetocaloric properties of the perovskite compound La using ab initio calculations supplemented by Monte Carlo simulations. Our electronic structure results indicate the existence of a semimetallic phase characterized by a spin polarization greater than 95% at the Fermi energy, confirming its potential for spintronics applications. From a magnetic point of view, the system exhibits ferromagnetic order with a critical transition temperature T C = 205 K, in good agreement with experimental predictions. Analysis of the magnetocaloric properties reveals a maximum magnetic entropy change Δ S max under an applied field of h, highlighting the potential of this material for magnetic refrigeration applications at room temperature. These results provide quantitative insight into the correlations between doping, electronic structure, and magnetic properties in doped manganites, and open up interesting prospects for giant magnetoresistance (GMR) and spintronic devices.
