CNIC - DOI in National Data Centers
This presentation, delivered at DataCite Connect Brisbane 2025, introduces the DOI and CSTR (Common Science and Technology Resource) identification services provided by the Computer Network Information Center (CNIC) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It outlines the CSTR system, developed under the Chinese national standard GB/T 32843—2016, and its role as a persistent identifier framework for scientific data, publications, instruments, researchers, and institutions. The presentation highlights the integration of DOI and CSTR services to support national and CAS data centers, ensuring interoperability, large-scale data registration, and global connectivity with international PID systems. Supported by China’s National Key Research and Development Program, this initiative contributes to trusted and standardized PID services in the open science ecosystem.
