Ground-based light curve follow-up validation observations of TESS object of interest TOI 3862.01

Tess Object of Interest (TOI) 3862.01 was observed with the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS), which marked it as a possible exoplanet candidate. In this paper we discuss its viability as an exoplanet candidate by using a ground-based observation from the George Mason University Fairfax 0.8 meter telescope. On April 3rd 2022 this target was observed using a red filter and a 65 second exposure. This data was collected, reduced, and analyzed using AstroImageJ to give a light curve that provided insight into the viability of this candidate. It is relatively unlikely that TOI 3862.01 is an exoplanet; however, the results were somewhat inconclusive due to poor conditions.
