Toward a UN Literacy Challenge for Scouts
This paper proposes a UN Literacy Challenge for Scouts — a flexible, challenge-style pathway that makes the United Nations legible and actionable for young people. The concept honours and builds on WOSM’s Better World framework, including Scouts for SDGs, Messengers of Peace, Dialogue for Peace, and long-standing partnerships with UN agencies. The aim is not to create a parallel track, but to provide a clear, recognisable entry point for ‘UN literacy’ that translates global structures and norms into meaningful local action.
