Ground-based Light Curve Follow-up Validation Observations of TESS Object of Interest TOI 5868.01

The NASA TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite) Mission aims to detect the presence of any exoplanets using the transit photometry method. To verify whether the candidates detected by TESS are not false positives further ground based research is conducted. The goal of this paper is to provide ground-based observation on TOI 5868.01 and to confirm its status of an exoplanet using the transit method. The ground-based observation was conducted through George Mason University 0.8m telescope with R filter and it was found that the transit of TOI 5868.01 occurred at the expected parameters, but possibilities of false positives were not ruled out due to NEB check being inconclusive calling for further work.
