Ground-based light curve follow-up validation observations of TOI 5907.01
Exoplanets are planets that are outside of our solar system, and almost 6,000 have been discovered so far. NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) mission searches for transiting exoplanets, which is when the exoplanet passes between its host star and the observer. Transits are useful because they cause dips in the star’s light, which can be used to analyze exoplanet characteristics. Many targets have already been confirmed as being exoplanets using this method, but there are still candidates whose status is unclear. It is an important goal to determine whether or not these targets are actually planets, as this knowledge will deepen our understanding of the universe.
