Ground-Based Light Curve Follow-Up Observations of TESS Object of Interest 5585.01

TOI 5585.01 is a candidate exoplanet from the NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) database. We applied the transit method to the light curve of the host star to confirm its existence and location. Unfortunately, our observation of TOI 5585.01 does not confirm that the object of interest is a transiting exoplanet. We believe that, with more observations and follow-ups on TOI 5585.01, the exoplanet’s existence may one day be confirmed.

Abstract

TOI 5585.01 is a candidate exoplanet from the NASA Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) database. We applied the transit method to the light curve of the host star to confirm its existence and location. Unfortunately, our observation of TOI 5585.01 does not confirm that the object of interest is a transiting exoplanet. We believe that, with more observations and follow-ups on TOI 5585.01, the exoplanet’s existence may one day be confirmed.
