Carinata Li & Wang Carinata Li & Wang, 1992: 65 (type species Carinata rufipenna Li & Wang, 1992) Diagnosis. Relatively small, slender Evacanthini. Overall coloration usually pale yellow or orange in live and preserved specimens, head usually pale with single black medial spot on crown and black spot on face below each antenna (rarely uniformly black or pale yellow); pronotum and forewing with varying amounts of darker pigment. Head with crown acutely produced in dorsal view, slightly convex, carinae not strongly elevated. Male pygofer with ventral appendage present and usually elongate.
