The Recursive Resonance Framework Revisited: Epistemological Foundations, Methodological Limitations, and the Defense of Speculative Science
This paper provides a systematic critique and defense of the Recursive Resonance Framework(RRF), a six-paper series proposing that the golden ratio (ϕ ≈ 1.618) functions as a universalharmonic principle unifying consciousness, ethics, and cosmology. I address the strongestepistemological objections to the framework: selection bias in pattern identification, toleranceinflation in ϕ-approximations, circular definition of Neural Coherence (NC ≈ 0.92),unfalsifiability of quantum vacuum persistence claims, and lack of mechanistic derivationfrom first principles. I distinguish three tiers of claims—empirical (testable via EEG), theoretical(testable via simulation), and speculative (currently metaphysical)—and commit tofalsification criteria for Tier 1-2 propositions.
