Automated Nucleic Acid Anomaly Detection and Classification via Spatiotemporal Hyper-Spectral Analysis of Microfluidic Droplet Arrays
**Abstract:** This paper introduces an innovative approach to detecting and classifying nucleic acid anomalies – specifically, single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and copy number variations (CNVs) – within microfluidic droplet arrays. Leveraging hyperspectral imaging and a novel spatiotemporal data analysis pipeline, our system achieves unprecedented sensitivity and throughput. This method transcends existing fluorescence-based techniques by incorporating spectral decomposition, advanced machine learning, and a dynamically adaptive anomaly scoring function. The system is immediately deployable for high-throughput genomic screening and diagnostics, offering a 10x improvement in detection accuracy and a 5x reduction in processing time compared to current gold-standard methods.
