First person – Avishek Kataria

ABSTRACT First Person is a series of interviews with the first authors of a selection of papers published in Journal of Cell Science, helping researchers promote themselves alongside their papers. Avishek Kataria is first author on ‘The MLL/WDR5 complex promotes midbody recruitment of KIF2C for microtubule depolymerization and furrow initiation during cytokinesis’, published in JCS. Avishek is a PhD student in the lab of Dr Shweta Tyagi at the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad, India, investigating the mechanisms behind various cellular processes that govern the cell cycle.
