IYTIMS A Proactive, AI-Supported Autonomous System Framework for Early Forest Fire Detection and Suppression
Wildfires are no longer just a seasonal threat; they are a persistent global crisis. Fueled by a changing climate, they drive a dangerous feedback loop that damages ecosystems and threatens public health. Today's wildfire management strategies, despite best efforts, are fundamentally reactive and often too slow. This paper introduces IYTIMS (Intelligent Wildfire Tactical Intervention and Management System), a new strategy built on proactive prevention. Our solution is an autonomous, multi-layered drone system designed to detect and extinguish fires at the moment of inception. The IYTIMS framework is built on three pillars: (1) a smart reconnaissance fleet that uses AI to assess fire risk in real time; (2) a rapid-response unit that deploys BORTEX, a unique boron-based fire suppressant; and (3) a fully autonomous, solar-powered infrastructure that allows for continuous, 24/7 operation. Here, we detail the IYTIMS architecture, break down its core technologies, and present a clear roadmap for implementation. We believe this is a scalable and sustainable model for the future of ecological protection.
