The focus of their conversation was informed by Dr Bridget Ferguson’s concept ‘Spirit of Sorority’, the theme of this Spring issue of The Practising Midwife Australia. At the heart of their conversation, they considered how a deep sense of sister or community-hood, solidarity and shared purpose can sustain and strengthen midwifery today and for the future. The content of this article pulls together a thematic reflection of the podcast conversation, highlighting the importance of community, connection and global leadership to support midwives to flourish in their life and work.
