Religious situation in Kyrgyzstan in the context of social policy
The article analyzes the interrelation between the religious situation in the Kyrgyz Republic, the transformation of social policy, and the development of partnerships among the state, religious organizations, and NGOs. It is shown that under conditions of limited budgetary resources, religious institutions become significant actors of local social support, while the renewal of the legal framework in 2025 has tightened regulatory requirements and reshaped the configuration of interactions. Based on a comparison of the legal framework, poverty statistics, and social assistance cases, recommendations are formulated for the development of transparent mechanisms of state — religious and civil — religious partnerships.
