ROLE OF RELIGION IN THE ISRAEL–PALESTINE CONFLICT
The role of religion in politics has been a major historical factor in the world for several decades, raising significant questions about whether religion functions as a catalyst for conflict or peace. This thesis focuses specifically on the role of religion in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict from the perspective of Judaism and Islam tenets and the manner in which actors incorporate religion into their national politics. The research is based on a case study and uses qualitative data to analyze academic literature and work. The research concludes that the Israel–Palestine conflict is not about religion but was influenced by religion to a large extent.
