Methodology for determining the emissions balance from rail transport at the regional level

The methodology describes the procedure for obtaining and classifying activity data in rail transport so that it can be broken down to the regional level. It also defines the input data and their standards. The methodology sets out rules for linking regional breakdowns to national emissions reporting so that data comparability is maintained. The methodology also includes coefficients of the share of individual regions in the total national balance of selected pollutants, including a comparison with the share according to the original approach.
