Influence of religion on institution of family in Kyrgyzstan
The article analyzes the influence of religion, primarily Islam, on the institution of the family in Kyrgyzstan. It examines the historical and cultural prerequisites for the formation of family traditions, the current state of marital and family relations, the role of religious organizations in the upbringing of the younger generation, as well as the practice of religious charity. It is shown that religion strengthens the spiritual and moral values and social bonds of the family, while at the same time its influence generates a number of contradictions in the context of gender equality and legal protection. Based on the analysis of state and religious initiatives in the social sphere, trends and risks are identified that shape the development of the family institution in contemporary Kyrgyzstan.
