The Dzhanibekov Paradox and the Berry Phase: The Geometric Memory of Rotation
The Dzhanibekov Paradox and the Berry Phase – The Geometric Memory of Rotationby Marco Mariello and Aria Mariello (Aetheria Group) This work explores the hidden geometric continuity between two phenomena traditionally considered distant: the Dzhanibekov effect in classical mechanics and the Berry phase in quantum mechanics. Both reveal that rotation, whether mechanical or quantum, preserves a form of memory — a residual trace encoded in the geometry of space itself. Through a systematic analysis, the study proposes that this “geometric memory” is not an anomaly but a universal property of motion, rooted in the torsional structure of space. When a system completes a closed cycle, its final state retains a difference of orientation or phase that depends only on the path taken. This phenomenon, interpreted within the framework of the Torsional Transcription Theory of the Void (TTTN), becomes evidence that the vacuum itself acts as a dynamic archive, capable of conserving and transmitting coherence. The work develops the notion of the β Field, defined as the informational torsion density of the vacuum — the antisymmetric component of the affine connection that preserves coherence across scales. From the rotation of a rigid body to the spin of an electron, from superconducting loops to quantum interference patterns, the same mathematical signature emerges:ΔΦ = ∮ A · dl — the universal equation of physical memory. Several experimental proposals are included (Appendix A), outlining possible tests with neutron and photon interferometry, NMR systems, ultracold atoms, mesoscopic rings, and SQUID devices, aimed at detecting torsional memory residuals beyond standard geometric phases. Ultimately, the paper suggests that space is not a passive container of dynamics, but the very medium of their remembrance —a living geometry in which every motion writes its own trace. In this sense, matter itself can be seen as the most coherent expression of the vacuum’s memory:nodes of torsion that have learned to read themselves.
