The Reflexive Coherence Model: A Physico-Informational Framework for Consciousness
Abstract This paper introduces the Reflexive Coherence Model (RCM) — a unified physico-informational framework for understanding consciousness. Grounded in the ontological monism of quantum field theory and the Standard Model, the RCM defines consciousness as a coherent and reflexive state of information. The model proposes the Reflexive Coherence Index (RCI) as a quantitative measure of informational integration and causal self-reference within a system. Five falsifiable predictions connect this approach to empirical data from neuroscience and artificial intelligence. The RCM serves as a psychophysical bridge law: when informational coherence becomes reflexive and causally closed, subjective experience emerges. Keywords: consciousness, information theory, quantum field theory, reflexivity, integrated information, neuroscience, artificial intelligence.
