The B1938+666 Million–Solar–Mass Micro-Perturber as a Harmonic Test Case in CAT-12: Folding Dark Matter Substructure into the Cosmic Resonance Lattice
This paper presents a CAT-12 harmonic resonance analysis of the B1938+666 million–solar–mass micro-perturber, recently detected with VLBI (Powell et al. 2025; McKean et al. 2025). Rather than treating the detection as a statistical anomaly within ΛCDM, we classify it as a harmonic test case on the Periodic Table of Resonance (PTR) and Scale-Normalized Harmonic Scaffold (SNHS). The micro-perturber occupies the R₇ lens-plane arc-gap corridor, linking it structurally to the same cosmic acoustic ratios (R₃–R₉) that shape the CMB, galactic morphology, and black hole acoustic systems. This classification transforms the perturber from an outlier into a structurally expected detection within the CAT-12 framework. We present a sequence of seven figures that progressively build this argument: Figures 1–2 situate the perturber empirically in concentration–mass space relative to ΛCDM medians. Figures 3–4 place it on the harmonic ladder within the PTR/SNHS structure. Figure 5 quantifies corridor widths through the Law of Dynamic Precision (LDP). Figure 6 contrasts ΛCDM brute-force detection forecasts with CAT-12 resonance-guided strategies. Figure 7 displays cross-scale harmonic morphology from cosmology to micro-perturbers. Table 1 summarizes key parameters (mass, redshift, concentration, corridor classification), while Appendix A provides a worked example of the harmonic ratio calculation for the B1938+666 perturber, addressing likely reviewer requests for explicit math. This work functions as a companion theoretical interpretation to the Nature Astronomy and MNRAS Letters discovery papers. It integrates gravitational lensing substructure into the cosmic resonance lattice first established in CAT-12: Cosmic Resonance Unveiled and Periodic Table of Resonance Families. By emphasizing falsifiable corridor forecasts, it outlines a clear observational program for testing CAT-12 with future VLBI campaigns.
