EFFECTS OF 10 WEEKS CIRCUIT TRAINING ON SKILL RELATED FITNESS VARIABLES OF WOLAITA SODO UNIVERSITY MALE BOX SPORT CLUB
The purpose of this study was to investigate the Effects of 10 weeks circuit training on skill
related fitness variables of wolaita sodo university Male box sport club. Twenty four male box
trainers were taken as a sample by census or comprehensive sampling technique. Those samples
had assigned in to two equal groups of experimental and control group by simple random
sampling. The experimental group had taken ten weeks circuit training intervention. Both
groups had taken pre and post-test in skill related variables like: balance, power, reaction time
and agility. The measurements for those variables were stork stand test, vertical jump test, ruler
drop test and zigzag test respectively. The data collected from the study subjects were analyzed
using SPSS version-25 software by paired t-test with the level of significant 0.05 while cohesive
d> 0.8 was used to consider practical significance. The results showed circuit training had
significantly improved on balance (P=.000), power (P=.001), reaction time (P=.000) and agility
(P=.038) in EG (P<0.05). Therefore, circuit training has an improvement on power, agility,
balance and reaction time.
