High-Throughput, Multi-Angle Metasurface-Based Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) for Rapid Retinal Imaging
**Abstract:** This research introduces a novel Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) imaging system leveraging metasurface technology for significantly improved data acquisition speed and image resolution. Our approach implements a multi-angle scanning technique using a dynamically reconfigurable metasurface array, enabling rapid data acquisition without mechanical scanning. This system promises to revolutionize retinal imaging, facilitating faster, more comfortable exams, and enabling new diagnostic capabilities. A key innovation is the coupling of a hyperdimensional scoring model to analyze spectral data, drastically improving image reconstruction accuracy and feature extraction—essential for early disease detection. This technology is commercially viable within 3-5 years, with substantial impact on ophthalmology, point-of-care diagnostics, and remote healthcare.
