VISuAL for PPKI (Visual Inclusive Support For Learning in PPKI)

Background Children in Program Pendidikan Khas Integrasi (PPKI) classrooms often face visual challenges that affect their ability to access learning materials. Existing teaching resources may not always meet their visual needs, especially in terms of font size, contrast, layout, and visibility. This checklist was developed to provide teachers with structured, evidence-based guidance to make classroom environments and teaching aids more visually inclusive. Purpose The VISuAL for PPKI checklist is designed to help teachers and schools prepare teaching resources that are inclusive and visually supportive, ensuring that all children, especially those with visual difficulties can participate effectively in classroom learning. Key Features Practical, easy-to-follow checklist covering classroom environment, teaching materials, and inclusive strategies Based on research evidence and refined using findings from a Master’s project at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Benefits For Teachers: Provides a clear guideline to prepare inclusive learning materials.
