IAM4RE D1.1 - Knowledge Gaps and Contents Maps

This public deliverable from the IAM4RE.eu project (Intellectual Asset Management for Research and Entrepreneurship) presents the results of a Europe-wide landscape analysis on knowledge valorisation and standardisation practices among Public Research Organisations (PROs) and Academic Institutions (AcIs). The study identifies key knowledge gaps, training needs, and barriers to implementing the EU Codes of Practice on Intellectual Asset Management and Standardisation (2023). Based on survey responses from 66 institutions, the report reveals that while awareness and engagement in knowledge valorisation are moderate, understanding and integration of standardisation remain limited. Findings will directly inform the design of IAM4RE’s training suite, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), and policy guidance to strengthen institutional capacities in intellectual asset management, standardisation, and research impact. Keywords: Knowledge Valorisation, Standardisation, Intellectual Asset Management, Capacity Building, Research Policy, EU Codes of Practice, Horizon Europe
