A Comparative Economic Analysis of Malaysia and Pakistan (2000–2020)
This report presents a comparative analysis of the economies of Malaysia and Pakistan over 20 years (2000–2020) using World Development Indicators. Twelve key economic indicators—including GDP growth, trade openness, manufacturing, health and education expenditure, and gender participation—are analyzed to understand the two countries' economic trends and structural differences. The study highlights Malaysia’s steady economic growth, diversification, and stronger social development compared to Pakistan’s slower progress, influenced by political instability and structural challenges. The comparison provides insights into how policy direction, governance, and investment in human capital have shaped the economic trajectories of both nations.
