“I am Pleased When Losev’s Thought Is Read in an Unexpected Way”. A.A. Gravin’s Interview with E.A. Takho-Godi about A.F. Losev and Losev Studies

The presented talk discusses issues related to the problems of researching the work of Alexei Fyo­dorovich Losev. Among them are the complexity of perception of the thinker’s ideas, the need for thesaurus studies of his conceptual system, and the implicit presence of the theological dimension in his philosophy. The discussants emphasize the unity of intent of Losev’s philosophical and sci­entific works at different stages of his work. Individual studies and researchers of Losev’s thought, as well as followers of his ideas, are discussed, the dynamics of texts dedicated to Losev’s scien­tific heritage is captured. In particular, interviewee E.A. Takho-Godi talks about her research of Losev’s artistic works, which can be a good introduction to Losev’s philosophical legacy. The question of the possibility of artistic receptions of Losev’s work is also discussed. The inter­viewees also discuss the problems of publishing Losev’s works and, in particular, the possibility of publishing a complete collection of works. The topic of actualization of Losev’s legacy in the modern cultural context takes up a significant part of the conversation.
