Evaluating the Physical Foundations of Order, Disorder, and Popperian Falsifiability Concepts
This paper explores the profound connection between the conditions that make scientific inquiry possible and the physical prerequisites for the existence of life. By examining the foundational assumptions underlying all scientific practice, we identify two indispensable postulates: the constancy of physical laws and the stability of macroscopic measurements. We argue that these postulates are not merely methodological choices but reflect deep physical structures of our universe. Furthermore, we propose that the very physical conditions which enable effective scientific falsification are intrinsically linked to, and perhaps identical with, the conditions that allow for the persistence and complexity characteristic of living systems. This work aims to bridge the gap between the philosophy of science and theoretical biology by grounding the principles of scientific cognition in fundamental physics.
