ReFoldQ: Learning Refolding Transitions as Quantum Operators for Coherence Editing (Concept Note)
Abstract This note proposes a virtual‑only framework that learns refolding transitions — the between‑states observed in natural systems (e.g., proteins, crystalline phase changes) — and compiles them into variational quantum operators usable as coherence editors for other materials. Rather than predicting final structures (as in AlphaFold‑style pipelines), the aim is to learn transition dynamics and detect an operational threshold we call Q‑click: a coherence capture where the system stabilizes into an ordered phase. The proposal is exploratory and invites expert scrutiny; it does not claim practical manufacturability today nor a complete physical theory. It outlines falsifiable virtual experiments to assess plausibility and limits.
