Cover Feature: Synthesis, Characterization and Interconversion of p–Tolylsulfone‐Functionalized Norbornadiene/Quadricyclane Couples (Chem. Eur. J. 55/2024)

A 3D adaptation of the simplified isomerization cycle between norbornadiene (NBD) and quadricyclane (QC) species is depicted. The NBD scaffold on the left is colored in metallic blue and the respective QC isomer in red. The orientation of both species is identical to highlight the structural change. Both substituents of the push–pull system, including the newly investigated para-tolylsulfone moiety are colored matte black to keep the focus on NBD/QC interconversion. More information can be found in the Research Article by D. Krappmann and A. Hirsch (DOI: 10.1002/chem.202401391).
