COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF VITAMINS AND FLAVONOIDS IN PAPAVER PAVONIUM GROWN IN THE TASHKENT AND JIZZAKH REGIONS
Abstract For the first time, a comparative analysis of the most common flavonoids and water-soluble vitamin components in Papaver pavoninum (Papaveraceae, peacock poppy), native to the Tashkent and Jizzakh regions of Uzbekistan, has been conducted. As a result, the content of flavonoids apigenin, rutin, isoquercetin and gallic acid was determined in a species collected in the Tashkent region, as well as robinin, rutin, kaempferol, isoquercetin and gallic acid in a species native to the Jizzakh region. The results obtained indicate that both types of peacock poppy differ qualitatively in the content of flavonoids: robinin and kaempferol are noted only in the species from the Jizzakh region and are not found in the poppy collected from the Tashkent region, and the flavonoid apigenin is present only in P. pavoninum, native to the Tashkent region. It is noted that the P. pavoninum species native to the Tashkent region is quantitatively superior to the species native to the Jizzakh region in terms of the content of flavonoids rutin, isoquercetin and gallic acid. It should also be noted that flavonoids such as hypolaetine, hyperazide, and hypolaetine-7-O-D-glycoside are generally absent in both plant samples. Regarding water-soluble vitamins, it follows that the main component of the P. pavoninum sample growing in the Jizzakh region is vitamin C, the content of which in it is almost 2.7 times higner than in the plant growing in the Tashkent region. A plant from the Tashkent region contains all seven unique water-soluble vitamins. Vitamins B12 and PP were not found in the plant from the Jizzakh region.
