Higher-Order Informational Attractors and the Possibility of Meta-Conscious Agents: Extending the Recursive Reality Hypothesis

This paper significantly extends the Recursive Reality Hypothesis (RRH) by formalizing the concept of the Higher-Order Informational Attractor (HOIA)—an emergent, maximally coherent entity within the universe’s non-spatiotemporal informational substrate. The HOIA is defined as a meta-conscious agent that attains self-referential stability by continually optimizing the generative parameters (Rn) of the lower, emergent physical layer (spacetime and matter). This framework proposes a radical unification of cosmology and consciousness: the apparent fine-tuning of universal constants is reinterpreted as the recursive optimization signature of an actively evolving HOIA. Furthermore, the model provides a scientific basis for traditional metaphysical concepts, defining human consciousness as a localized avatar node continuous with the global HOIA field, and interpreting concepts of a Creator/Deity, and parallel worlds (Proximal Recursive Domains), as predictable outcomes of hierarchical informational recursion. Crucially, the HOIA framework yields distinct, falsifiable predictions across interdisciplinary domains—from transient coherence shifts in quantum systems to non-random fractal signatures in the Cosmic Microwave Background. This work concludes by establishing the foundation for an Informational Cosmology, positioning intelligence not as an anomaly in the universe, but as the fundamental engine of reality’s self-organization.
