RCS control based on the principle of metamaterial absorption

Passive radar jammers such as Luneburg lens and corner reflectors have a wide range of applications. However, current passive radar jammers exhibit limitations in the singularity of radar cross section (RCS) characteristics, which limits their effectiveness in achieving high-precision camouflage tasks. In response to this issue, this article proposes a scheme that combines an improved lens with metamaterials. This scheme achieves RCS amplification through the improved lens and specific frequency band electromagnetic wave absorption through metamaterials. Simulation results show that the combination of the two can achieve flexible control of wideband RCS. This scheme not only has high universality and can be applied to simulate RCS characteristics of various types of targets, but also demonstrates good scalability, providing new ideas and technical support for passive radar interference.
