THE IMPACT OF GLOBALIZATION ON FINANCIAL MARKETS IN DEVELOPED AND DEVELOPING COUNTRIES: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS

This article examines the impact of globalization on financial markets by comparing developed and developing countries through the cases of Germany and India. It explores how financial integration influences capital flows, market volatility, liquidity, and the role of institutional frameworks. The analysis combines macroeconomic indicators with company-level insights from Siemens AG and Tata Motors Ltd. to assess how globalization shapes investment behavior, risk exposure, and overall financial stability. The study highlights that while globalization facilitates greater access to capital, innovation, and international markets, it also increases exposure to external shocks, particularly in countries with weaker regulatory systems. Developed economies like Germany benefit from stronger institutions and coordinated regional policies that help manage financial disruptions more effectively. In contrast, developing economies such as India must navigate volatility with fewer buffers and greater structural challenges. The findings suggest that the outcomes of globalization are uneven and depend largely on a country's governance capacity, policy responsiveness, and readiness for integration into global financial systems.
