Fault location in the observation matrix of collection lines for grid-connected wind power supported by grid-forming energy storage

Aiming at the problem that the accuracy of fault location in the collection line supported by energy storage for wind power grid connection is easily affected by the number of measurement points and the access of power electronic equipment, a fault location method for collection lines based on variable observation matrix compressive sensing is proposed. This method first analyzes the influence of grid-forming energy storage access on the fault characteristics of wind farms and models the sparsity of fault current; by taking advantage of the characteristic that doubly-fed wind turbines and energy storage systems do not participate in the fault negative sequence loop, combined with the negative sequence voltage of sparse measurement points and compressive sensing theory, the node negative sequence injection current is solved by dynamically correcting the observation matrix and using the CoSaMP algorithm, achieving high-precision fault location. Simulation results show that this method has strong anti-interference ability and can achieve accurate location under the condition of a small number of measurement points and no need for data synchronization, demonstrating good economic and engineering practicability.
