System and Method for Geometrodynamic Mapping of a Metabolic State-Space Manifold via Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy
Abstract A system and method for non-invasively characterizing a biological subject's metabolic state are disclosed. The method comprises acquiring localized metabolic data from a biological subject using a Magnetic Resonance (MR) system, specifically utilizing an advanced Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopic Imaging (MRSI) protocol. The acquired data, representing concentrations of key metabolites, are processed not as a discrete set of biochemical markers, but as input to construct a geometric representation of the subject's metabolic state-space. This representation, termed the Interoceptive Manifold, is a personalized subdomain of a universal, axiomatically-defined 11-dimensional state-space known as the M(Y11) Manifold. The method includes computing a local metric tensor and associated geometric invariants, such as curvature, from the metabolic data. These geometric properties serve as quantitative biomarkers for metabolic stability, efficiency, and predictive response to nutritional or therapeutic interventions, thereby providing a novel, dynamic, and personalized assessment of health.
