An Analysis of Mystical Thoughts in the Divan of Sheikh Gholam Ali Hakim Shirazi
Sheikh Gholam Ali Shirazi, nicknamed Hakim, is a Shiite mystic poet and a student of Agha Mohammad Reza Qomshehi. He lived in the late 13th and early 14th centuries, and despite his short life, many of his works have survived. Hakim Shirazi, as a result of his research and examination of Ibn Arabi's works, acted in a similar way to Ibn Arabi in explaining mystical ideas. Using an analytical-descriptive method and a documentary and librarian approach, this essay attempts to examine the most important mystical ideas in Hakim Shirazi's poetry and to show how he tried to explain these ideas. The findings of the research indicate that the unity of existence, manifestation, the perfect human being, and the manifestation of the divine names and attributes are among the most prominent mystical teachings that Hakim Shirazi addressed and paid special attention to in his poetry. He should be considered as one of the commentators of Ibn Arabi's works in Iran. The creation of new allegories to express the above concepts and the treatment of some themes with greater clarity and transparency are what distinguishe his poetry from the poetry of poets before him.
