A LITERATURE REVIEW OF EVALUATION OF GRID STABILITY AND REAL-TIME PERFORMANCE IN LARGE-SCALE GRID-INTEGRATED PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS
The impacts of grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) systems on grid stability are both timely and significant, especially as these systems now account for approximately 99% of the global installed PV capacity. This dominance is attributed to their cost-effectiveness, lower maintenance requirements, and the fact that they do not necessitate batteries, as excess power is fed directly into the grid. The escalating global demand for electricity, coupled with peak load shortages, has significantly increased the adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This surge is largely driven by supportive policies and the strategic installation of PV systems near consumers across the grid. While these systems offer numerous benefits, their large-scale deployment without specialized controls can impact the integrity, reliability, security, and stability of the power grid.
