Modular Sinusoidal HTS Tape System for Advanced Plasma Control via Collective Tunneling Effect
This paper presents a major conceptual and technical breakthrough in magnetic system design for nuclearfusion: a modular solenoid using segments with sinusoidal geometry made of stacked High-TemperatureSuperconductor (HTS) tapes in a "sandwich" architecture. The innovative design, incorporating tapes ofdifferent widths separated by metal alloy interlayers coated with ultra-clean graphene, not only enablesunprecedented control of magnetic field gradients for plasma stabilization but also induces an emergentphenomenon of collective tunneling between the HTS tapes. This coherent coupling, analogous tophenomena recognized by the 2025 Nobel Prize in Physics, grants the system exceptional robustness against quenches, ultra-fast current redistribution, and quantum synchronization of pulses. Multi-physics simulations let suppose the feasibility of generating an influence zone where space-time geometry is modified (Torsion), paving the way for active plasma control through background field engineering.
