DYNAMICS OF PAST AND FUTURE THOUGHTS IN HUMAN COGNITION
Thinking is a fundamental cognitive function that shapes human perception, decision-making, and emotional well-being. This paper explores the dual nature of thinking-past-oriented and future-oriented-and its impact on present mental states. By modeling cognitive processes mathematically and symbolically using Greek letters. this study provides a framework for understanding how positive and negative reflections on past experiences, as well as anticipations of future outcomes, influence happiness, anxiety, and mental stability. The integration of quantitative formulas, cognitive indices, and visual models enables a scientific exploration of human thought dynamics.
