Changing Gender Roles of Families in Pakistan: A Sociological Analysis
This paper explores the evolving gender roles in Pakistani families studying how cultural practices, religious understandings and socioeconomic context influence emerging trends. Despite the fact that Pakistan is still among the most patriarchal societies in South Asia, the changes in education, participation of women in the labor force and exposure of women to worldviews are slowly changing the family life. The research points to the significance of policies and awareness campaigns that promote egalitarianism in the home setting and lead to the more widespread gender equality in Pakistan.
