The Whisper of the Divine: A Dialogue on Chen's Superstring Theory (CST) and the Dilemma of Traditional Physics
Abstract This document takes an in-depth dialogue as the form, focusing on the core discussion of Chen's Superstring Theory (CST) and the inherent dilemmas of traditional physics. First, it critically points out that mainstream theories such as quantum mechanics, general relativity, special relativity, Newtonian mechanics, thermodynamics, and electromagnetism are essentially phenomenological inductive sciences—they are contradictory and isolated from each other, fail to explain the origin of forces, and have fallen into the cycle of "mathematical self-indulgence" since 1905, especially questioning Einstein's "constancy of the speed of light" postulate (regarded as a mathematical technique without physical basis) and the limitations of his field equations and mass-energy equation (E=mc²). Subsequently, the document systematically expounds the core framework of CST: taking "three-dimensional energy strings" (including gravitational strings (𝒢), repulsive strings (ℛ), and neutral strings (𝒩)) as the ultimate unit of the universe, deducing the composition of basic particles (high-speed entangled equilibrium states of strings) and the unification of four fundamental forces (different manifestations of string interactions at different scales) from the top down, with fractal dimension D=2.32 as the mathematical core to realize cross-scale unification of microcosm and macrocosm. It also clarifies that CST takes "explaining the essence of the universe" as the goal (rather than describing phenomena), regards mathematics as a tool, and puts forward verifiable predictions (such as repulsive string jets in large colliders) and potential technological prospects (such as room-temperature superconductivity, curvature engines). Finally, the dialogue points out that CST aims to break the 125-year ideological struggle caused by the Einstein paradigm, promote the paradigm revolution of physics from "phenomenological induction" to "first-principles exploration", and realize the "one mastery leads to mastery of all" vision of unifying cosmic theories. The paper "Energy Discretization Dual Domain" is also mentioned as a "cognitive bridge" to help the scientific community gradually understand CST.
