MECHANISMS FOR ENHANCING STUDENTS' PEDAGOGICAL COMPETENCIES THROUGH INTEGRATIVE TEACHING APPROACHES: THE CASE OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTION
Developing pedagogical competencies among students, particularly those preparing for teaching careers, is essential in modern education systems that emphasize learner-centered instruction and 21st-century skills. This paper explores mechanisms for enhancing pedagogical competencies through integrative teaching approaches in the context of English language instruction. Integrative teaching combines elements of content-based, task-based, and interdisciplinary methodologies that allow learners to connect theory with practice. The study analyzes pedagogical frameworks, key mechanisms, and implementation strategies to strengthen reflective practice, learner autonomy, collaboration, and innovation. Findings suggest that integrative teaching not only improves subject-specific knowledge but also develops the professional and pedagogical competencies required for effective teaching in diverse classrooms
