The manuscript of Tohfat-o Ahl al-Vosul Fi Elm al-Fosul is by Sadr al-Din Muhammad Oshnohi and was written by Ismāeīl Ibn Abd al-Momen Isfahāni in the 7th century (AH). This manuscript dates back to the 10th century (AH) and is kept in the Sepahsālār Library in Tehran. This treatise is a mystical work with a literary language from the mystical sermon in the 7th century named Oshnohi, one of the friends of Sufi Suhrawardi, which was collected by his disciple (Ismāeīl Isfahāni). In this work, the author has explained the concepts of romantic mysticism with an expression full of rhymes, puns and similes. The book contains discussions on monotheism and prayer to God, describes the virtues of the Prophet (peace be upon him), preaches and encourages to stay away from the world, etc. The manuscript is a very reliable document from the 7th century that introduces the romantic mysticism of Iran, which has an important relationship with the asceticism of Suhrawardīeh and mystical philosophies. The reflection of Oshnohi's specific religious and political thought and his writing style in the interpretation of the Quran, and Linguistic melodic parallelisms are other characteristics of this work.
