Митохондрия: не фабрика АТФ, а компенсатор избытка кислородного огня (Mitochondria: Not an ATP Factory but a Compensator of Oxygen Excess)
This article questions the traditional concept of mitochondria as the “ATP factories” of the cell. It proposes a philosophical and biological hypothesis that mitochondria primarily function as compensatory systems, protecting the organism from oxygen excess and oxidative stress. ATP and CO₂ are interpreted not as end-products of energy synthesis but as safe by-products of the neutralization of excess oxygen. The text integrates historical, physiological, and clinical data — including research on the Buteyko breathing method — to illustrate how the reduction of hyperventilation and preservation of CO₂ improve biological stability. The hypothesis was formulated and discussed in collaboration with artificial intelligence.
