Information Axioms and Emergent Time: Symmetry, Conservation, and Complexity
An axiomatic framework is proposed in which the evolution of physical systems and the emergence of time are described from the perspective of informational measures.Within three axioms—symmetry, non-decreasing total information, and growth of potential complexity—criteria for stability, self-organization, and evolutionary directionality are formalized.Building on Pierre Curie’s principle of symmetry and using binary informational configurations, we show that (i) the second law of thermodynamics follows from the axiom of non-decreasing information, and (ii) time can be treated not as a fundamental coordinate but as an emergent property arising from ordered informational transitions.A fundamental constant κ converts informational change into physical time, providing a bridge between quantum mechanics, general relativity, and informational dynamics.
